shark

A fish I used to have... it's actually a catfish.

sun, trees, and snow

In the uncompressed version of this picture, you can actually see the sparkles of the ice crystals in the snow and amazing detail for a little point & shoot digital camera (Canon).  This picture has been cropped and hugely compressed so I could upload it to the blog.

chimney

A lone chimney in a field I pass by often... I always wonder what happened to the house it used to be attached to.

rose of sharon

Right outside my dining room window.  :)

snail

A very cooperative snail we found in the yard one day.

I still cannot get over the quality shots I got out of that automatic Canon digital camera.  The detail in this one is fantastic in the original version of the photo, and the colors / effect was exactly what I was going after.  This was done in natural lighting right in the backyard.

Twigs

Just a strange little picture of twigs that appealed to me.

Promised Land

Promised Land State Park, PA
early morning during a camping trip

Rt 206 farm

A farm on Rt 206 that is no longer there.  I really liked the contrast of the red against a bleak background on a rainy overcast day.

(Taken with a cheap point & shoot 35 mm fully automatic)

Chipmunk

I thought the Monarch picture took a lot of patience... this one required double.  ;)

(this is from a Canon EOS 35mm manual settings with zoom lens)

Monarch

A lot of patience was involved in getting this shot.

(Taken with my old Canon AE1 35mm on manual and then scanned into the computer)

Allaire State Park

Allaire in Autumn, 2000
I can't believe I took this almost 10 years ago already.  I remember so many details of that day and it really doesn't seem that long ago...

One of the first shots from my new (at that time) Canon AE1 35mm.  :)

I still got the camera, by the way, and it still works fantastic.

If you disagree with me, you're wrong

Cherry Blossoms in Bloom
